This tool is designed to work efficiently across a selective range of coat types for both dogs and cats:

• Double Coats: Highly effective for breeds with thick undercoats (e.g., Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Maine Coons, Persian cats).
• Long and Medium Coats: Great for managing loose hair and minor surface tangles.
• Dense Short Coats: Works well for short but heavily shedding coats (e.g., British Shorthairs, Labradors) by pulling up dead surface dander and loose floating hairs.

Please take note of the unsuitable coat types below:

• Very Short/Single Coats: Pets with exceptionally thin or single-layered short hair (e.g., Italian Greyhounds, Chihuahuas, Sphynx cats). 
• Severe Mats: This brush is not a heavy-duty dematting rake. Attempting to pull tightly bound knots or felted mats with it will cause discomfort and pull on your pet's skin.
